Our mission
To provide person-centered residential support that helps individuals with disabilities live with safety, dignity, and purpose — in a home where they truly belong.
About Haven Blessings
Haven Blessings is a Stafford, Virginia organization preparing to provide person-centered residential support for individuals with disabilities.
Our story
Haven Blessings is being built with a clear purpose: to create a home where individuals with disabilities are supported to live safely, fully, and on their own terms.
Our name holds our intention. A haven is a place of safety and rest. Blessings are the good things a home can hold — belonging, relationships, growth, and everyday joy. We hope that every person who one day calls Haven Blessings home will experience both.
We are at the beginning of our journey. Rather than rushing to open, we are taking the time to build strong foundations: thoughtful policies, person-centered practices, and a licensing process completed properly. The families and professionals who may one day place their trust in us deserve nothing less.
To provide person-centered residential support that helps individuals with disabilities live with safety, dignity, and purpose — in a home where they truly belong.
A community where every person, regardless of ability, has a home that reflects who they are, relationships that sustain them, and the support to pursue the life they choose.
Our philosophy
Person-centered support means organizing support around the individual — not around schedules, systems, or convenience. It is a way of working that we intend to bring to every part of daily life.
Support begins with what matters to each individual — their preferences, routines, relationships, goals, and dreams.
We focus on abilities, interests, and possibilities rather than limitations.
From meals to activities to how a day unfolds, making choices should be an ordinary part of daily life.
Family, friends, and community connections are part of a good life, and they deserve to be nurtured.
As needs, goals, and seasons of life change, support should change with them.
While we prepare
Trust is earned. Here is what you can expect from us during this stage of our development.
We will be clear about what we can and cannot offer, and we will not represent ourselves as licensed until we are.
We are completing licensing and organizational development before offering any services.
We do not ask for sensitive personal information through this website or by email.
We welcome questions and perspectives from individuals, families, guardians, and professionals.
We believe families and professionals deserve a clear picture. Here is an honest summary of our progress.
Step 1, In progress
Building the policies, practices, and foundation a responsible residential support organization needs.
Step 2, In progress
Working through the licensing process. We will not offer services until licensing is complete.
Step 3, Not yet open
We are not accepting residents or referrals for placement. We will share details here when that changes.
